About Me
Carrie was co-founder and CEO/Chief Movie Buff of Atlanta Movie Tours prior to joining Arival in 2021. She has been engaged in the Atlanta film industry for years, and loves building experiences as well as showing off Atlanta and Georgia film. As a natural connector, Carrie often serves as a liaison between film and television crews working in “Atlanta’s backlot” of Castleberry Hill, which sparked her initial interest in the filming boom in Georgia. Bringing film tourism into the mix in Georgia, showing off popular filming locations from shows like The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Marvel and more, was a key focus of her day-to-day job as was collaborating with other tour companies, DMOs, DMCs, and the like. She was an attendee at Arival Orlando in 2019 and fell in love with what Arival meant to the in-destination industry.
Favorite Tour, Activity or Attraction
While I love everything film tourism-related and finding unique filming locations, anything tropical is a sure winner! Growing up in Miami and Jamaica if it involves the water I’m sold! My husband Steven and I were avid scuba divers pre-pandemic and looking forward to more dive trips in the near future. Some of the top ones have been treasure hunting for sharks’ teeth in Venice, FL, diving with the manta rays in Kona, and exploring the Vandenberg missile tracking ship and 2nd largest artificial reef in the world in Key West.
